DUI Jersey City Driver Seriously Injures PA Man In Kearny Crash: Prosecutor

Authorities are investigating a DUI crash in Kearny that left a Pennsylvania man critically injured and resulted in the arrest of a Jersey City driver, authorities said.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, Kearny police responded to a collision near the intersection of Newark-Jersey City Turnpike and Fish House Road, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Officers found a Jeep Compass that had struck a Ford F-150.

The driver of the Ford, a 56-year-old Pennsylvania man, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The driver of the Jeep Compass, identified as 33-year-old Maria Molesky of Jersey City, was arrested at the scene and issued summonses for reckless driving and driving while intoxicated.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and Kearny Police are continuing their investigation. All tips will remain confidential.

The charges against Molesky are accusations, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
